Washington, D.C. - RAINN released the following statement after the Senate passed H.R. 4445 - The Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021. The bill passed the House of Representatives earlier this week, and will now move to the president’s desk:
“Ending forced arbitration is a critical step to remove one of the many barriers survivors face in coming forward and seeking justice. We thank Representatives Cheri Bustos and Morgan Griffith for their leadership on this bill and look forward to the Biden Administration's swift action to sign this landmark bill into law. We still have much work to do, but this is an important win for survivors.” - Camille Cooper, vice president of public policy, RAINN
