Washington, D.C. - Today RAINN announces Alesia Soltanpanah as the new Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead RAINN’s Development team. As CDO, Soltanpanah will lead strategic fundraising for RAINN and other funding initiatives and programs.
“Alesia joins RAINN with impressive experience that will help RAINN continue to grow as an organization and will further our mission of supporting survivors and ending sexual violence. We are working towards doubling our online hotline capacity in the coming year, and the fundraising leadership that she brings is crucial to our future,” said Scott Berkowitz, president and founder, RAINN.

Soltanpanah comes to RAINN with an extensive background in nonprofit and institutional work. Soltanpanah has raised millions of dollars for women and children and has served as the AVP of Direct Marketing for Save the Children, Chief Development Officer for Safe Horizon, and the Vice President of Development for the Ms. Foundation for Women. She was also the Executive Director for the VIBS Family Violence & Rape Crisis Center where she ran the Suffolk County SANE program and was selected by the county to head the first multi-agency anti-trafficking task force.
